Clutch: Thrift Store Find | Top: Buffalo by David Bitton | Wedges: Reaction by Kenneth Cole from TJ Maxx | Ring & Bracelet: Forever 21 |  Jeans: Target | Necklace: World Market

After a long week there are two things I crave: good drinks and comfy clothes. Luckily, there is something so incredibly effortless about a bohemian style outfit. Relaxed, comfy and whimsical– it fit my mood for the night. The wonderful thing about boho style is that it is nearly impossible to mess up. Gladiator style sandals?– Check! Flowy top?– Check! Whimsical print?– Check! Congrats, you just successfully put together a boho look! Piece of cake, huh?

The one difficult thing about this outfit is the top. It is a low cut, oversized tank that works better as a coverup (one of which I never really wore). I have been dying to wear this out, but the only thing it pairs well with is jeans and leggings. Nonetheless, it is probably the MOST comfortable top I have ever worn out to dinner.

The leather, hand carved clutch is one of my high school thrift store finds that I recently found shoved in the back of my closet underneath my suitcase sized purses. It originally had short purse handles (not my fav) that I removed to create a cute, earthy styled clutch that thankfully fits all the essentials (phone, wallet, Mophie).

TGIF and enjoy the weekend!!

Brunch-ing In The City

A Sunny Afternoon Brunch 111 by Smitten Studio Online

Hello Dolls!

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to brunch at some of the most adorable places around the DMV. With vacation season upon us, it is almost impossible to NOT brunch while away. Luckily, I don’t have to go very far to brunch like a queen! I have been blessed by the brunch gods and am located near some of the best breakfast spots around, that admittedly, I frequent often.

Most people think brunch is all about the food….they, my dear, are dead wrong. Every fashionista knows that the outfit you wear to brunch says more about you than the three-egg veggie omelet and a side of french toast you just ordered. Everyone needs to indulge every now and then!

Although you may feel like sliding out of bed and into a pair of VS Pink sweats, a wrinkled tee and some Vans, I would advise against it. I can promise you once those #foodie, #brunchingitup, and #endlessmimosas Instagram shots fill up your newsfeed, you will regret it.

So, as a preventative measure, it is essential to have an array of wardrobe options on hand.

These are a few of my favorite “Brunching in the City” looks…
